In one Age, called the Fourth Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose in the Land of the Crystal Throne. It sped across the great Aryth Ocean to the Tai’Seanchan coast. It continued over the Mountains of Mist, picking up the scent of Two Rivers fine tabac and singing along to a tune made by a Tinker’s tea kettle. It swirled around the vast prairie known as the Caralain Grass, with it’s Black Tower fortress, and the island city of Tar Valon, home of the fabled Ogier-made White Tower...The wind swept through the valleys, skimming along the lake that once was Shadar Logoth, lifting the raven in flight. It howled through the Blight past the snorts and bellows of Trollocs, carrying on it the stench of their cookpots and rot as it whipped by a Myrddraal without creating so much as a ripple in its dark cloak. If you listen closely to the wind you can hear the sound of “friends” whispering in the dark as it whistles by you. The shadows beckon you to their warm embrace; where will the wind take you? For you must know, the wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was A beginning.
Current Events
The Red Ajah has undergone drastic changes in the aftermath of the Last Battle. It became obvious to even casual observers that there was a rot deep within the Ajah, and corruption and hate had warped its mission from one of safekeeping the world to preserving their own self-appointed order. Two factors forced change to come to the Reds, whether they willed it or not: there was the obvious damage to their reputation following a string of high profile missteps. And, of course, there was the sudden loss of their reason to exist with the cleansing of saidin and the recognition of the Black Tower by the White. In recognition of these changes, Pevara Tazanovni was recognized as the Highest to lead them into the Fourth Age, and through her efforts the Red Ajah was reforged.
The Red Ajah has three new responsibilities to replace the old. As part of the White Tower's push to bring more women who can channel into the Tower, they seek out new recruits everywhere they travel, turning their honed skills for hunting channelers to a more positive force. They also use those skills to keep tabs on unaffiliated channelers throughout the Westlands and prevent the abuse of the One Power, no longer restricting their activities solely to men in danger of madness. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, they are the White Tower's major link to the Black; though many Red Sisters still forgo bonding another, those who do often select from their counterparts in the Fire Legion, turning the paired groups into minor embassies for each of these major powers.
That said, there are conflicts within the Ajah over the direction they've taken, particularly in light of the madness of the previous M'Hael, an event which decimated Red Ajah Sisters bonded to Asha'man. The practice of bonding men of the Black Tower has been put on hold throughout the reign of the new M'Hael, Jadin al'Vyron, as more conservative voices seek to return the Ajah to its older ways in an effort to provide a bulwark against the danger of male channelers.

Connections
Green Ajah: The Green Ajah is the Red's closest ally within the White Tower, bound together by duty and shared suffering throughout the Fourth Age. They often aid one another in their responsibilities in the world as well.
Fire Legion: Before the Tower War, the Red and the Fire Legion worked closely with one another, often forming bonded pairs as they carried out their similar tasks for the Towers. Following the loss of both Aes Sedai and Asha'man with these bonds during the Tower War, the relationship is significantly more fraught, though there remain unofficial ties between them.

Hall Politics
- Has formed an alliance with the Greens post-TG and supports them in many endeavours
- Still has cool/tense relationships with the Blue, though not of pre-TG levels
- Supports the Brown over the White, but the White over the Blue and Yellow
- If the Green supports the Yellow and White, then so will the Reds, unless they support the Blues, then all bets are off
- If the Green and Grey support the Brown, then so will the Reds, unless they support the Blues, then all best are off
