In one Age, called the Fourth Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose in the Land of the Crystal Throne. It sped across the great Aryth Ocean to the Tai’Seanchan coast. It continued over the Mountains of Mist, picking up the scent of Two Rivers fine tabac and singing along to a tune made by a Tinker’s tea kettle. It swirled around the vast prairie known as the Caralain Grass, with it’s Black Tower fortress, and the island city of Tar Valon, home of the fabled Ogier-made White Tower...The wind swept through the valleys, skimming along the lake that once was Shadar Logoth, lifting the raven in flight. It howled through the Blight past the snorts and bellows of Trollocs, carrying on it the stench of their cookpots and rot as it whipped by a Myrddraal without creating so much as a ripple in its dark cloak. If you listen closely to the wind you can hear the sound of “friends” whispering in the dark as it whistles by you. The shadows beckon you to their warm embrace; where will the wind take you? For you must know, the wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was A beginning.
Current Events
The Yellow Ajah has long been known for their skill in Healing with the One Power. So much so that trainees who show any talent in this area are strongly courted by the Ajah and rarely choose another raised to the shawl. Beyond talents, Yellows are called by the need to heal others.
Recently, the Ajah has branched beyond One Power Healing into herbal remedies and medicines. Following the Seanchan War, and before her raising to Amrylin Seat, Katreine din Ziago Tempest Winds spearheaded a campaign for all Yellow sisters to receive training in mundane healing. Many sisters had long shunned the use of herbs and the like, viewing it as inferior to their abilities with the Power, but Katreine was a force to be reckoned with. She found backing with Sumeko Karistovan, the First Weaver at the time, and the then Amyrlin, Sharina Melloy.
In addition to broadening the Ajah's horizons, Katreine also swelled the size of the Yellow's eyes and ears network to proportions rivaling even the Blue's. Rather than dealing in rumors, however, the network is designed to bring attention to any new illnesses, outbreaks, or treatments. As such, it is not a secretive network as seen within the other Ajahs, but rather one that is fairly well recognized and recruited for within the many halls of healing and medicinal schools founded alongside the social outreach centers created by the Blue Ajah.

Connections
Rivaled only by the alliance between the Green and Red Ajahs, the Blue and Yellow go hand in hand in many of their endeavors. While the Blue seeks to heal society, the Yellow heals it's people and together they seek to raise those who are in most desperate need up to a place of self-sufficiency.
Once closely aligned with the Healers of the Black Tower, relations have cooled significantly as a result of Rahlin's Mad War. Yellows took up the healing of the Sisters, Warders and other citizens injured and all Asha'man bear the blame for a still raw scar. With healing those in need as their main concern, the Yellow continues to collaborate with Water, but they remember always and have not yet forgiven.

Ajah Relations
- Tied very strongly with the Blue, supports them in most endeavours
- Supports the Blue over the Red almost automatically
- Is also allied to the Grey and Green, but will generally support the Blue over the Green
- On neutral terms with White but do end up voting against them often
- Supports the Blue and Green over the Brown, but the Brown over the White
- Supports the Green over the White, but the White over the Red
- Supports the Blue supports the Grey then so will the Yellow, but if the Grey support the Reds or White, all bets are off
