In one Age, called the Fourth Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose in the Land of the Crystal Throne. It sped across the great Aryth Ocean to the Tai’Seanchan coast. It continued over the Mountains of Mist, picking up the scent of Two Rivers fine tabac and singing along to a tune made by a Tinker’s tea kettle. It swirled around the vast prairie known as the Caralain Grass, with it’s Black Tower fortress, and the island city of Tar Valon, home of the fabled Ogier-made White Tower...The wind swept through the valleys, skimming along the lake that once was Shadar Logoth, lifting the raven in flight. It howled through the Blight past the snorts and bellows of Trollocs, carrying on it the stench of their cookpots and rot as it whipped by a Myrddraal without creating so much as a ripple in its dark cloak. If you listen closely to the wind you can hear the sound of “friends” whispering in the dark as it whistles by you. The shadows beckon you to their warm embrace; where will the wind take you? For you must know, the wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was A beginning.

IC 113 FA Year in Review
-Varian Mathayas is elected the new M’Hael of the Black Tower in Saven after the disappearances or deaths of several other candidates. Julian Damodred and Valen Far remained in their positions as his seconds.

-Gareth Trakand, previously presumed dead, is found and returned home by his sister and friends. After verifying the soundness of his mind, Varian Mathayas allows him to return to the Black Tower.

-Zamira Dagaron passes information to the Red Ajah revealing Avyanna Sarat as a member of the Black Ajah. Alira Asuwan, Aviva al’Saar, and Elaira Taravin team up with Leander Varned and Gareth Trakand of the Fire Legion. Together, along with other Red Sisters and Fire Asha’man, they capture Avyanna Sarat, Rosyanna Somares, and several other Black Ajah Sisters. All those who are captured are stilled and executed for their crimes against the White Tower.

It is Fall and people all over the Westlands are celebrating Shaoman. This holiday is oriented for children, who are cosseted, praised, and given gifts. In some places groups of children go from house to house singing songs and being rewarded with sweets. To participate in the event thread, post with your character HERE. Participants will recieve a badge on their author profile.

The Festival of Lights was celebrated by all, but has special meaning for the Towers. Each Tower celebrates initiate raisings at this time. In site there were no Novices raised to Accepted, but the Black Tower had one Soldier raised to Dedicated, Cirus.

The rulers of the world plan to gather in Tar Valon to witness the Bonding of the M'Hael, Jadin al'Vyron and the Amyrlin Katreine din Ziago Tempest Winds, an act which would unify the Two Towers. Before this can happen however, the M'Hael is assassinated, casting doubt and suspicion on all sides.

Caemlyn was was burnt to the ground during Tarmon Gai'don, but it was rebuilt in the following decade with the assistance of Ogier stonemasons, Asha'man of the Black Tower, and the Kin who had taken up residence in Andor. Connected to almost every major city in the surrounding nations by both Gateway and roads, trade has become the lifeblood of the city and a source of wealth for the nation, something that the Lion Throne has taken great care to preserve.
