Summary: And everyone is satisfied with what we accomplished there? Predominantly younger Asha'man bought into Rahlin. Many of the older generations were out of the Tower on various assignments and so had more license to fuck off. The Fire Legion more than any other spoke out against Rahlin, many were executed as traitors. The Air Legion played subterfuge games and were instrumental in bringing down the regime from the inside while the Earth Legion were the driving force outside the Tower. Water and Spirit were more neutral. Does that sum up the broad strokes?

NatGeo: I think we were talking about which Legions would be most severely affected by the Tower Wars
And then we kind of decided that the Fire Legion would be most heavily culled, followed by Air/Water, and the Earth Legion
And then some Asha'man would have of course sided with the WT but it got lost in all the noise
and that most of the Asha'man probably sat it out (given their efficiency at war if the majority of the BT had been involved the war would have been over quite quickly, dreamspike or no)

add that a dreamspike would have been necessary to prevent major major damage to the WT
otherwise the Asha'man could have just travelled into the WT and destroyed it from the inside out

a lot of higher up Asha'man thinking Rahlin wasn't actually serious (or even of he was serious, that he'd never be able to follow through) until he actually, someone, managed to do so. It would have started very small, picking out injustices and imbalances in power that most, if not all, of the BT would have felt justified in attempting to redress. Most people didn't think that they'd get to the point that it did until they were already way past the point of preventing it.
Tseia: Terron could've been one of Farran's lieutenants at the time? And maybe that contributed to Farran recommending him for Captain?

Water are the Healers, so I don't see them overwhelmingly being for the war, but I'd definitely bet there were plenty in every Legion who did get swept up in it

The young, not consistently on assignment, Earth I could see getting hot-headed and rallying behind a war

Julian was a Lieutenant in Spirit stationed in the borderlands studying possible reasons for the reemergence of shadow creatures, but most Spirit Legion are stationed in the BT or in Caemlyn I think

Same with Air. Though I can also see Air being the greater force behind the coup

Whereas the group that eventually took out Rahlin probably would have been primarily Earth? Lead by Jadin.
Not only are they the most combat oriented Legion but also the one regularly stationed away from the Tower for long periods, so least likely to have been executed as traitors?
Branded as them, sure, but execution in most cases would have required recalling them or sending men after them.

Yeah, I think Air Legion would have been those hiding in plain site in the Tower, Earth the driving force outside it

I'd argue also that a lot of those that flocked to Rahlin would have been the younger Asha'man too.
The veterans would have been out and about actually carrying out their duties.

Water and Spirit I could see swinging either way, so it would come down to individual cases within them
Yeah, I think predominantly he would have appealed to the young "hot-headed" generation who didn't live through the LB and have an intimate knowledge of what a real Power war meant

Some, those with valued skill, were allowed to stay, I'd say the ringleaders would have been executed.
And oooooh.
Idea!

As we said, there were probably a lot who didn't want to rock the boat, who ended up caught between a rock and a hard place and had to go along with things, even if they disagreed with them

My NPC Dreadlord will have been aiding Rahlin. He disappeared and went into hiding when it was clear that Rahlin would lose though.
Maybe tipped off by Avy?
Also would've helped to have someone agree with Rahlin in reality, to encourage the thoughts/ideas that Avy implanted. Maybe he was Rahlin's personal Healer? Could also explain why Rahlin's madness was such a "surprise" too. Because my Dreadlord proclaimed him perfectly healthy.

The Dark One was hacked by a cat
Alira’s husband/bond partner was a Fire Legion Captain at the time, and he spoke up against Rahlin directly (and was executed for it before the offensive was launched.) so, definitely some forceful dissent going on at the time
