So here are the dirty details...

Starting on Aug 24th (my birthday) we will have a week long event where participants earn points by finding bugs/errors/etc. on the site.

We are asking all of our members to do a site-wide continuity pass, and post any errors of any kind on this thread using the form below. Please post each error separately to help keep us from missing any. The first post about an error gets the point. The winner(s) get a scavenger hunt badge on their author profile!

GEOGRAPHY
So Harbor is one of the largest and most prosperous of the Altaran Altara's towns. Ruled by House Anan, it serves as a major port for Altarans to send and receive vital goods that keep the people and economy afloat. While it was a small waystop in the Third Age, it absorbed many refuges refugees from the former city of Malden, when after it was destroyed during battle with the Shaido.

Salidar was once the seat of the Amyrlin in exile, Egwene al’Vere. It was abandoned just prior to the White Tower’s reunification, but in the early days of the Fourth Age it was resettled and repurposed by Blue and Yellow Sisters who’d come arrived to provide aid. Today, it is officially run by associates and affiliates of the White Tower, providing food, work, and medical attention for those in need, all the while allowing the Aes Sedai to keep a finger to on the pulse of Altara.

Remen was a small village in the Third Age, a border town on the River Manetherendrelle with little to its name. That has changed in the Fourth;Age. The small noble house which that ostensibly ruled in the Third Era, House Nereth, resurfaced early on in the restoration, provideding assistance in the distribution of aid to those most in need.

GOVERNANCE
Altara’s “government,” as such as it is, is largely nonexistent. There is a loose affiliation of merchants and nobility who claim territory and, occasionally, worth war? with or against each other. One noble family, House Aran, has spent the past 40 forty years amassing influence, however, and its current head Lady Cairen Anan is widely regarded rumored? surmised to be? "regarded" is usually used when talking about reputation, rather than an action/verb as making a play for a crown of her own.

DOMESTIC AFFAIRS
Daily life in Altara is very, very slowly improving from its chaotic early years after Tarmon Gai’don. The combined efforts of the Blue and Yellow Ajahs, and as well as some of the nation’s more altruistic leadership, has begun to return some semblance of prosperity to large swathes of the country. People are largely in a better state, though they still lag behind their neighbors in many crucial ways.

Worse Unfortunately, there are many places in Altara where the recovery has been unequal. In some places where aid was meant to bring security to the people of Altara, it has instead been concentrated in the hands of the powerful few are unfortunately common. These are largely, but not exclusively, noble houses that are particularly reviled by the common folk. Despite that, their relative wealth and influence ensures that they remain influential and entrenched interests. These places are considered dangerous by Altarans and visitors alike.; People disappear far too easily in Altarasuch locations, or so the whispers go if the whispered rumors are to be believed.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
Altara, given its fractured nature and lack of official recognition in the Dragon Compact, has few allies in the outside world. Chief among these have been the White Tower, particularly through the Blue and Yellow Ajahs which helped to stabilize a nation bleeding badly in the throes of death at the beginning of the Fourth Age. They say that one should not accept gifts from the Aes Sedai, but given the limited options presented available to Altara, they had few choices, and this tie has secured the scattered loyalty of the Altaran people. Some even marched to the aid of the White Tower during the Tower War. , to repay their succor.

Description of and/or Suggestion:
GEOGRAPHY
Saldaea is a Borderland nation prone to the bitterly cold weather of the rest of the Borderlands, but unique in that it is, despite existing along a coast, being enormously well protected from the sea. The Banikhan Mountains and a series of islands and reefs make landing by sea a near impossibility.

Maradon is the capital of Saldaea, and though it was left in ruins by a siege just before the Last Battle, it has been rebuilt in the Fourth Age to once more act as the beating heart of the nation. Situated on the River Arinelle, it connects the towns and cities of Saldaea by road or and river. It is separated from The Blight border at the Mountains of Doom by the Proska Flats, a rocky, barren region.

Sidona, situated along the River Arinelle, south of the capital, is the home and holdings of House Rashai, as well as the center of Saldaea’s horse trade. Comprised of solidly built buildings that prize function over fashion, it reflects the local fashion of mercantile origins quite well.

Alirycas is a border fortress town on near the Blight, under the rule of House Aravell. Home to a large number of the Kin, as well as possessing strong ties to both Towers, it is a rock on which the Shadow breaks.

Tyr is located southwest of Maradon on the well-maintained highway to Bandar Eban. Merchants in this city often trade with the Domini Domani, whose due to their close ties to the Atha'an Miere, mean they are the only importers of the highly prized Sea Folk porcelain in Saldaea. It is also the site of House Destine which is closely tied to House Bashere. Southern Saldaea is made up of dense forests and fertile fields, and many specialized carpenters and craftsmen reside in the small city.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
Saldaea is closely tied to its fellow Borderlanders, of course, and to the Black Tower, who helped it rebuild following the Seanchan War. They are also very closely tied to Andor and Manetheren, with many Saldaeans feeling a debt of honor is owed for the assistance they received in the years after Tarmon Gai’don. They are also surprisingly close to the Tai’Seanchan, considering attributed to their joint efforts during the Seanchan War in repelling the Seanchan invaders. On the opposite side, they have explicitly signed on to Malkier’s oath of vengeance against the Seanchan Empire for the devastation they brought to Saldaea the Borderlands.

TAI'SEANCHAN
The Seanchan on the eastern side of the Aryth Ocean renamed themselves the Tai'Seanchan in 5 FA, following a schism and civil war on the Seanchan continent to the West. Led by the Empress Fortuona, they signed the Dragon's Peace and are recognized as members of the Dragon Compact, despite tensions that have simmered over the century since the Last Battle. They were crucial in the Compact's victories in the Seanchan War, as well as the War of Rahlin's Madness. Despite suffering great losses during the Seanchan War former, the Tai'Seanchan have rebuilt their nation both militarily and economically.

Description of and/or Suggestion:
GEOGRAPHY
Falme is the Imperial capital of the Tai’Seanchan. Falme is, a major commercial port for Tai’Seanchan’s internal trade, as well as its governmental center. The Imperial Palace and the new Crystal Throne are located here, as are the estates belonging to the upper echelons of the High Blood. Low Blood and traders also maintain property within the city, particularly near the docks or the outskirts. In addition, Falme is the center of Tai’Seanchan diplomacy; multiple Dragon Compact nations have small embassies close to the Imperial Palace, including(, rather controversially), a small modest estate dedicated to a small White Tower contingent that oversees the Tai’Seanchan’s continued commitment to freeing unwilling damane.

Tanchico is the former capital of Tarabon and the current governmental center for the region.

Amador is the former capital of Amadicia and another of the Tai'Seanchan's urban centers. Amador isAs a fortress city that serves as a major checkpoint into the heart of Tai'Seanchan territoryheartland.

Elmora is a smaller town on the road between Tanchico and Amador, noteworthy for being the home of the last surviving raken. Being posted to Elmora remains a prestigious and coveted position for members of the Seanchan military; and becoming a morat'raken is a matter of great pride.

Stedding Madan is an Ogier stedding that has become home to the Tai'Seanchan Gardeners--Ogier bearing arms and serving in the Deathwatch. Relations between the Seanchan Ogier and the Westlands Ogier remains tense, particularly as some younger and more adventurous Ogier have used the opportunity to join the Deathwatch.

Ebou Dar is the former capital of Altara and the last and smallest of Tai'Seanchan's holdings. Ebou DarIt is ruled by House Mitsobar of the High Blood, which has served as the High Seat of Ebou Dar since the Tai'Seanchan swore the Dragon's Peace. Despite the stability in its ruling class, Ebou Dar is a particularly bloody city;. The dueling culture of Altara and Seanchan notions of honor have resulted in a peculiar, and often deadly, mix. Duels are common over even relatively minor disagreements; those who do not die are often made da'covale instead. The tradition of the wedding knife continues, and women remain aggressive in its use;.

"In addition to the stone settings for deaths or dishonor, white is used to indicate a child who lost their freedom in a duel."
The color of the stone only indicates gender: white for male, red for female. The enamel setting of the stone indicates status: red/white for sons/daughters who died in a duel, black for all other deaths, and if a duel was refused the stone is pried out. So a different enamel color to signify da'covale is needed? Unless the intent was to indicate that children made da'covale are considered "dead" in their mothers' eyes?

DOMESTIC AFFAIRS
Tai’Seanchan is currently quite stable under the rule of Empress Yurila Paendrag and the High Blood governors of its territories. Moderate tension remains regarding the role of sul’dam in society,though it has been despite the passage of decades since the revelation that the women capable of controllering channelers were, in fact, potential channelers themselves. Today all sul’dam are considered da’covale, if relatively high ranking ones, and are watched closely for signs that they, themselves, have begun to channel themselves. Those who do are marked as marath’damane. Crucially, sul’dam are not included under the terms of the Dragon’s Peace, and as a result are unable to leave Tai’Seanchan, unless they learn toir potential to channel is realized in truththemselves.

Damane, and marath’damane, continue to exist despite pressure from the White Tower and the terms of the Dragon’s Peace. While ostensibly any marath’damane is given the choice between the collar and exile, in practice only former members of the Blood have the resources or opportunity to choose the latter. The poor and less connected, as well as any foreign woman unfortunate enough to be caught in Tai’Seanchan, are held indefinitely until they “choose” correctly. Damane may petition for their release and exile, which must be granted, but in practice, as a result of their training, few are able to muster the willpower to do sorequired.

One other notable change in their domestic affairs is the decline in the prestigious field of animal handling. Morat are rarer and more highly regarded than ever, but the lack of beasts (and the extinction entirely of corlm, s'redit, and to'raken in the Westlands) have narrowed the field significantly.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
Tai’Seanchan’s relations within the Dragon Compact remain tense,. This is, understandably and predictably,this is especially true with of Tar Valon. They have never breached the Dragon’s Peace, and they’ve had great success at marketing their goods, but suspicion still runs deep. They maintain strong ties with Illian as well as Arad Doman, however, and have a strong working relationship with the Seafolk that some speculate to be the result of a Grand Bargain.
