Many describe Adyin as very tall with thick, wavy red hair and slanted, cat-like blue eyes. While his height and broad shoulders cut a prominent figure, muscled and strong, it is not excessively so – there is no extra flesh on his large frame. His hair is not the gingery sort of red, but rather a multitude of hues mixed: auburn, amber, roan, cinnabar, copper, cinnamon, red, and gold have been used to describe the strands of its unique shade. It's often compared to a red deer's pelt. His eyes are dark blue, fringed with long lashes that are nearly black at the tips but transition into auburn then pale blond at the roots. He gets his height and hair color from his mother's blood and the high cheekbones and long, straight nose. But Adyin's slanted eyes, strong jaw, and wide mouth are traits from his father.
PERSONALITY
Adyin is charming and amiable, with a highly developed sense of humor and a knack for inventive swearing. He’s a rational thinker, tending to think things through before rushing into battle or political discussions. However, his family is known for their stubbornness, and he exemplifies the trait powerfully.
Due to being raised in Saldaea, Adyin has a profound knowledge of horses. He is also entirely devoted to the Black Tower and will eliminate any threat to his loved ones, no matter the cost to himself. However, his loyalty and friendship are not easy to earn. The man has trust issues, mainly from being forcefully bonded, but Adyin has a friendly nature despite that. In addition, he possesses strongly developed social intelligence and a profound sense of a man’s honor and duty. Therefore, he won’t turn away from any fight or responsibility that he perceives to be his.
But despite his skill with a blade or on a horse, Adyin is more passionate about knowledge. As a result, he often has a book in hand, or pocket for that matter. History, research, legends, relics, Angreal, Sa'angreal, and Ter'angreal fascinate him. Due to his love for such things, he chose the Spirit legion over Earth even though the Earth Legion courted him with hopeful intent to snare him.

HISTORY
Adyin's turn of the wheel began in 5 FA when Lenora Brynagin gave birth to him in the early Spring. But just as his story began, his mother's came to a close. Childbirth proved too difficult for her; therefore, she died soon after. Heartbroken, Adyin's father Torand left Caemlyn with his son and moved in with relatives in Sidona, Saldaea, one year later.
His father was a good man, teaching his son everything his father taught him, but what he couldn't teach Adyin, he left in the hands of Amora Gryniar. She was Torand's second cousin that was a kind gentlewoman with no children of her own. Her family raised cattle and horses on a small farm. And like any Sadaean, she taught Adyin how to care for horses. It was a simple life but a good one. But then tragedy struck once more. A nasty storm destroyed part of a pasture fence, causing the cattle to storm out. While attempting to round them back up, Torand was knocked from his horse and trampled to death. Adyin was now an orphan, but Amora raised the boy from then on as if he was her own.
Time flew by quickly back then, as Adyin grew to be a fine mix of both his father and mother. Though his red curls, tall stature, and peach skin made the boy stand out fiercely in Sidona. Still, he was raised in Saldaean traditions and beliefs, becoming quite skilled in the saddle as well as in work on the farm. But he inherited his father's stubbornness, so once he had his mind set on something, it was a trifle difficult to alter it.
In 23 FA, shortly after turning 18, Adyin developed the spark for channeling. It came as quite a shock to both him and Amora, as none in his family before him had ever possessed the gift. Amora was saddened to send him away, but she knew his best outcome in honing those talents would come from joining the Black Tower. So, with a heavy heart, Adyin said goodbye to the woman he'd known as his mother and went to Caralain to train at the Black Tower.
It was here that Adyin was able to explore his love for knowledge further and to become a better-skilled soldier. He trained hard, showing respect for his superiors and fellow Soldiers, but more often than not, Adyin's stubbornness landed him more chores and other minor punishments. Still, he managed to ascend to Dedicated in 30 FA when he was 25 and had grown more as a man.
For the next six years, Adyin showed a lot of growth with a blade alongside his saddle talent. Due to this, the Earth Legion courted him with great interest. They never even considered the possibility that the man would choose a different Legion to join. But Adyin's heart was tied to knowledge tighter than it was to fighting. So he'd often fill his free time in the Tower library or with a book on him. Although torn between the Earth and Spirit Legion, eventually Adyin decided on the Spirit Legion. So he became an Asha'man of the Spirit Legion in 36 FA. The celebration was soon mixed with grief, as Adyin would receive a letter two days later of Amora's passing. He cried for the first time since his father's passing and lit a candle in honor of her passing. A tradition he carries out every Amaetheon.
Once again, time seemed to fly by as he proudly performed his duties alongside his Spirit Legion brothers. One such brother was a man named Julian Damodred. Adyin met the main whilst stationed in Tear in 37 FA. Though Julian was an arrogant, self-absorbed snob, their shared passion for knowledge and interest in Angreal's helped the pair form an unlikely bond. Over time that bond turned into friendship as Adyin developed a respect for Julian's cunning mind. Still, theirs would never grow into the relationship Julian shared with an Earth Legion Asha'man by the name of Jadin al'Vyron. Adyin had never known two men to have a deeper bond than those two possessed. And it was hardly a wonder why, as Jadin was the type of man that drew people to him. Even Adyin was quite fond of the man, but he never formed a friendship with him. 'Jadin al'Vyron is a man of rare greatness, destined to change the world if given the opportunity.' So Caenim once said, and it was true.
Caenim Aldarin was also an Asha'man of the Spirit Legion that Adyin formed a bond with. He had a witty kind of charm and kin-like humor to Adyin's. Soon, the two became thick as thieves, nearly reviling Jadin and Julian's relationship. Nevertheless, it was a time of happiness for Adyin that went by far faster than he would have cared for.
In 55 FA, Adyin received approved leave of the Black Tower for one year of study at Cairhien's Academy of the Rising Sun. It was one of his most treasured experiences that he often wrote Caenim of during his duration there. Upon his return, the two were once again almost inseparable, to the point that they briefly explored a more intimate relationship. But Adyin was quick to realize he did not have feelings for Caenim in that way. He thought he convinced Caenim that being friends was enough, but their friendship started to crumble going forward.
During a mission to the Borderlands in 58 FA, Adyin met Cirisa Damara, a Sister of the Green Ajah. There was an instant connection between the two, and during his time there, the two formed a budding romance. She was kind yet equally gifted in speaking her mind. Her stubbornness nearly matched his, but as their relationship grew, the one with Caenim withered to the point of contention towards Adyin. Unknownst to Adyin, Caenim was in love with him, convinced they were meant to be one. However, he felt jealous towards Cirisa, becoming determined to win Adyin back by any means necessary. His obsession soon grew so dark and twisted that he joined the Shadow Legion, convinced doing so would eventually give him what he wanted.
Upon hearing of the passing of Perrin Aybara and Faile ni Bashere t'Aybara, Adyin mourned their loss as many others did. He would light candles in honor of their memory, just as he did for Amora. And as he does for her, he burns them again every Amaetheon. After all, they were heroes of old that did many great things during their time. They deserved his remembrance and respect.
It would be in 65 FA that Adyin agreed to double bond with Cirisa. By this point, their love for each other was practically unparalleled. Adyin's feelings for Cirisa were indescribable. He even forsook his love and comfort of libraries to fight alongside her in the Borderlands. Two years later, after fighting off trollocs and other shadowspawn, Adyin and Cirisa married. News of their nuptials and double bond sent Caenim reeling, driving him even deeper into the shadow.
When Rahlin began his war with the White Tower in 75 FA, Adyin instead fought alongside the Aes Sedai and his wife, Cirisa. Due to this, Rahlin labeled him a deserter and traitor of the Black Tower. It troubled him greatly how a war between the Two Towers caused him to fight against the very men he once proudly stood side by side with. The guilt of lives he'd taken in self-defense still lives with Adyin today. But it would be the events to follow within the next two years which would change his life forever.
Within the late fall of 76 AD, Caenim and Adyin's paths would converge once more. But, unfortunately, the two were fighting on opposing sides while Adyin tediously pleaded for Caenim to cease cutting Sisters down. Yet, Adyin's words fell upon deaf ears; his once closest friend had become his enemy. And when an opening arose, Caenim cut Cirisa down right in front of Adyin. His cries of agony were deafening as he closed the space between them. He took her bleeding frame into his arms before he desperately called out for a healer. Cirisa hushed him while she simultaneously released him from her side of their bond. Tragically, She died in his arms moments later. The devastation of her loss at Caenim's hands was inexpressible. Before he had time to act, the unthinkable happened: Caenim forcefully bonded him. Due to the sheer amount of trauma Adyin endured within a mere matter of minutes, the man passed out. A pair of Yellow Sisters carried him to the infirmary, where they forced him to remain for several weeks for proper physical and mental recovery.
The following two years found him looked after by a Sister of the Yellow Ajah named Amena Namiaw. She helped him cope with the loss of his wife and recover from the severing of their bond. As challenging as it was, Amena found a way to spark life back into Adyin. It was her patient guidance that brought him to terms with everything he'd endured.
After Asha'man defeated Rahlin within the Black Tower in 78 FA, Adyin became reinstated as an Asha'man in the Black Tower. He struggled at first readjusting to life at the Black Tower, but Julian's friendship helped. One year later, Asha'man of the Air Legion captured Caenim, and he's gentled for his crimes. However, Adyin felt only minor relief over Caenim's sentence, as he desired to kill Caenim out of vengeance for Cirisa. He tried to appeal to the court, calling for Caenim's demise, but they refused. Not long after, a member of the Shadow Legion broke Caenim out of the dungeon, and the pair escaped into the night. Adyin knows Caenim is still out there; he can feel their bond. He longs for the day he can end the man's life, not caring about the consequences to himself. Whether he falls into an unwakeable comma or dies from their bond severing with Caenim's death, the price will be worth it as far as he's concerned.
As 81 FA rolls around, Adyin meets Johar Salenas, another Asha'man of the Spirit Legion. The two form what many would call a volatile friendship. Their shared interest in Ter'angreal creation and similar personalities is what brought them around to each other, but they argue as often as they get along. Of course, it doesn't help that Adyin developed trust issues after everything he'd been through with Caenim, yet he strives to keep his relationship with Johar in a favorable position. So when discussions go sour, especially if they become physical, Adyin tends to repair the damage by buying Johar drinks afterward.
Once more, time moved by like a fox chasing its prey, and Adyin found his way back to being content in his life. He visited every academy he could convince his superiors to let him, but he spent most of his time studying artifacts of old. He deepened his friendships with Julian and Johar while doing his best to put his old life behind him. His devotion to the Spirit Legion and the Black Tower eventually promoted him to Lieutenant in Andor within 94 FA. Another promotion came for Adyin in 101 FA to Captain of the Spirit Legion in the Central Theater.
Adyin was delighted for Julian when he became T'sorovan M'Hael in 111 FA, and as Caenim had predicted long ago, Jadin al'Vyron proved his greatness by being appointed M'Hael. Thus, at last, they were making strides forward to strengthen the ties between the two Towers. It was a bright future before them until tragedy struck once more.
In the summer of 112 FA, Jadin al'Vyron, M'Hael of the Black Tower, was assassinated. The incident created suspicions between the Towers, with some believing the Reds were behind his demise, others believing it was an inside job, and various additional rumors. Thus, instead of peace and friendship, there was more strife. And Adyin had yet another candle to light in his ever-growing collection. His sympathies for Jadin were mainly due to his concerns for Julian. Just as Julian had once helped him deal with grief, Adyin does his best to do the same for Julian. He only wants to see his friend happy, and the relationship between the Towers repaired... Only time will tell if he'll see either.
