Johar has been kicking around the Black Tower since a few years before the war with the White Tower, so it’s quite likely he’s made friends there. He spent a good while wandering with the Spirit Legion and more time stationed in the west near Tai’Seanchan. Though he feels vaguely uncomfortable around Aes Sedai, he’s likely to have collaborated with any sisters who had dealings with the Spirit Legion, especially if they have a particular interest in ter’angreal.

ENEMIES

Johar is hot-tempered, loud, and was never quite cured of his Ebou Dari tendencies. He takes pride in them, to be honest. It’s quite possible that his boastfulness and general willingness to leap into a fight have made enemies here and there. Rivalries would be interesting, too, or simply people he dislikes on the basis of nationality (cough, looking at you Seanchan) or some other trivial detail. Or people who dislike him!

Posting this here so I don't forget about it because I do want to nail down what project they would have been working on together.

I feel like Julian and Johar could have worked together on some ter'angreal project stuff while Julian was Captain General since their talents are so compatible...and maybe Julian backed him to take his place when he was promoted? I see them getting along pretty well...they are both neat freaks lol and Julian was more disinterested/annoyed than morally outraged by the whole Rhalin Tower War thing so he wouldn't hold it against Johar as much as some might.

Yesss I love this! I had Johar's interest in ter'angreal planned out before I joined haha so I was psyched to see Julian had similar interests! I feel like they'd definitely get along well, though maybe not at first? Jo is somewhat foul-mouthed and loud-mouthed and probably not everyone's idea of a ter'angreal-loving judgmental neat freak nerd, but that's what he is in his heart haha. Maybe Julian would've been hesitant about that before warming up to him! I like the idea of the Tower War thing being a bit of an awkward thing in their past, too, even though Julian isn't morally outraged--definitely interesting to throw in some awkward and shifting allegiances for two dudes with long life histories haha.

Anyways! This isn't a super concrete plot idea or anything, but I'd love them to be friends(ish?) of some level at least, and I can definitely see them getting on even if their personalities aren't obviously super compatible, at least on the surface! I'm happy to throw them together however!
