In one Age, called the Fourth Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose in the Land of the Crystal Throne. It sped across the great Aryth Ocean to the Tai’Seanchan coast. It continued over the Mountains of Mist, picking up the scent of Two Rivers fine tabac and singing along to a tune made by a Tinker’s tea kettle. It swirled around the vast prairie known as the Caralain Grass, with it’s Black Tower fortress, and the island city of Tar Valon, home of the fabled Ogier-made White Tower...The wind swept through the valleys, skimming along the lake that once was Shadar Logoth, lifting the raven in flight. It howled through the Blight past the snorts and bellows of Trollocs, carrying on it the stench of their cookpots and rot as it whipped by a Myrddraal without creating so much as a ripple in its dark cloak. If you listen closely to the wind you can hear the sound of “friends” whispering in the dark as it whistles by you. The shadows beckon you to their warm embrace; where will the wind take you? For you must know, the wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was A beginning.
Current Events
The Blue Ajah is the Ajah of causes, goals, and advocacy. Blue Sisters remain much the same in the Fourth Age, perhaps more organized and more open to change than before, but still full of women driven to fight for a cause greater than themselves. They remain, however, one of the smallest Ajahs, tied only with the Brown, and have only recently become politically important once more. For most Blue Sisters, however, that's irrelevant; what matters is their ability to accomplish their goals and serve their causes.
The Blue Ajah in the Fourth Age is more unified than in prior years, with large groups of Sisters given over to the same or similar goals, working in concert, to achieve them. Much of this stemmed from the disastrous aftermath of the Seanchan War; the Westlands as a whole were devastated by the brutality of the conflict, with many nations requiring basic humanitarian aid to adapt and survive. The Blue Ajah stepped into the gap, beginning in Arad Doman, focusing on providing food, shelter, and support. Today, structured Blue Ajah activity continues in Arad Doman, Altara, Murandy, and in some of the more remote areas of Manetheren that were formerly Ghealdan. Blue Sisters are notoriously independent, often to a fault, but they have organized in these areas to provide necessities that remain scarce or difficult to acquire, especially for those most in need. Senior Blue Sisters in these areas might oversee large institutions that have become built into the fabric of these nations, and consequently wield an enormous level of power even for an Aes Sedai. And, of course, by actively working with the people of these lands, the Blue Ajah secures their loyalty to the White Tower and the Aes Sedai. Few Blues will be as openly cynical as to admit it, but by providing their aid to places in need, they gain the loyalty and adoration of the people: valuable currency that the White Tower has, traditionally, lacked. Blues remain on the front lines as well, of course, feeding the sick or intervening directly where necessary, though such blatant action is often frowned upon by more traditional Aes Sedai.
Another area where the Blue Ajah acts, often covertly, is Tai'Seanchan. While the White Tower operates directly in Falme through their embassy, the Blue Ajah maintains its own unofficial network of eyes and ears designed to spirit away willing sul'dam, damane, or marath'damane who might otherwise struggle to escape. Such activity is deeply dangerous both personally and politically, but the injustice that remains a bedrock fact of life in Tai'Seanchan is difficult for many Blue Sisters to ignore. These are not the limits of Blue Ajah causes; there are as many as there are Blue Sisters, and while young Sisters are encouraged to spend time in their worldly institutions, questioning or redirecting a Blue Sister from their personal cause is considered deeply taboo. For those who seek to change the world, there are few places more equipped to do so.
This is especially true as it seems the Blue Ajah has become something of a queenmaker in the debate to replace an Amyrlin. Many of the Ajahs are currently divided between traditional or progressive factions, with the debate for the Amyrlin Seat similarly divided. The Blue, by contrast, is nearly universally in favor of progressive change, and their ability to act in unison has proved decisive in the last two elections for the Amyrlin Seat. The Blue hasn't had a woman wear the stole in the Fourth Age, but they're proving increasingly important in deciding the woman who does.

Connections
Yellow Ajah: The Yellow Ajah has operated closely with the Blue Ajah since the aftermath of the Seanchan War, as both began to provide services in afflicted areas around the same time. Blue and Yellow Sisters often cooperate to provide for the people that seek them out, and have reliably supported one another in the Hall ever since. The more cynical point out that this also helps counterbalance the Green and the Red Ajahs, who might otherwise have a commanding presence in debates otherwise.'
Eyes and Ears: Perhaps, more than any other Ajah, the Blue acts in concert with people in the larger world. Stemming from large, powerful systems of spies and informants, in the Fourth Age these networks are even more impressive. From volunteers helping their neighbors in areas in need, to covert men and women helping endangered channelers, to spies in the highest halls of power, men and women throughout the world observe and inform the Blue Ajah, advancing the interests of their Sisters, the White Tower, and the Dragon Compact.

Hall Politics
- Tied very strongly with the Yellow
- More distant with the Greens, who now veer more to the Reds
- Tense with the Whites, will support the White over the Red but that's it
- Supports the Green over the Red and White, but the Brown over the Green
- If Yellow supports the Grey, the Blue likely will, but if the Grey also supports the Red or White, all bets are off
- If Yellow supports the Brown or Green, so will the Blue, but if either also supports Red, all bets are off
- If Yellow supports the Green over the Brown, they may support Green too
- If Yellow supports the White over the Brown, they will support the Brown
