Soldier and Dedicated chores/duties

Soldiers

An individual soldier's schedule is so strict that their whereabouts are known at all times. They have to be where they are assigned for the day, doing whatever they were assigned. They report in the morning to the Dedicated on Duty to receive their schedule and deviations from said schedule are punished. Off-duty, they do have more freedom. Their whereabouts still need to be generally known and/or they need to be reachable. Someone in the chain of command has to know where they are and,  whether they were given permission to do it, depending on what it is. When off-duty time is provided on a Soldier's schedule, they must note how they plan to spend that time and return it to the Dedicated who will pass it along up the chain of command.

Unlike their counterparts at the White Tower, Soldiers are required to do all chores with the One Power whenever possible.

Cleaning:

Washing dishes, scrubbing floors, cleaning hearths and ovens, rubbing tables down with sand, and cleaning out the stables. They also scrub the floor of their room every day.

Serving:
The Soldiers assist at the Black Tower forge, in the fields growing crops, and in services provided to the Caralain people. Those with strong riding abilities are also called on to exercise the horses in the stables.

Cooking:
Soldiers sometimes work in the kitchens before breakfast, usually much to the annoyance of the cooks.

Messengers:
Soldiers often serve "gate duty" guarding the gates with full Asha'man and Dedicated. When petitions are taken; the Soldiers lead the petitioners to those they need to see. Soldiers are also expected to fetch anything or anyone an Asha'man might want or need.

Special Assignments:

Soldiers are occasionally given special assignments by Asha'man. These assignments can be either within the Tower or out in the Westlands.

Dedicated

Dedicated are usually given much more autonomy. They are occasionally called upon to teach soldiers, but their main focus is learning about each Legion to help them choose when the time comes. The amount of time they spend at the Tower can vary greatly, but while at the Tower they must participate in shifts, being the Dedicated on Duty. When tasked with that role it is their job to make sure all Soldiers are accounted for in the morning, to give out schedules, and to receive requests for off-duty activities to be approved by an Asha'man.
