The Spark changed Rymara almost beyond recognition, being taken from her family abruptly without compassion and practically dragged to the White Tower by a cold, logical and calculating woman who simply did not care. Even years later Rymara still misses her home and her family, they shaped her heart turning her into a kind soul and yet the Tower took her from that and though they gave her the power to help others beneath it all Rymara still resents the White Ajah and the Sister who took her from her home. The tower has slowly shaped her to suit their needs, arming her with the tools to even quench the fires of the most passionate monarchs in the world by harnessing her force of will, her strong and resilient nature and almost weaponizing them. What the Aes Sedai could not shape, however, was her heart and her natural inclination to buck the trends and forge her own path. She is fiercely independent almost to the point of insubordination, sometimes, and she will always choose her own path.
And she chose the path of helping people, no matter the cost, especially in the battle against the Shadow and the Dark friends, her time in the Borderlands hardening her and exposing her to the true scale of the threat that the world is facing. Thus, she harnesses her force of will to make the other Aes Sedai listen, to over power even monarchs as she imparts the true nature of the threat. She has turned her sharp mind to the study of the Shadow, to truly understanding the feats of the Dragon Reborn in ages past and to learning the lessons that history might offer. She builds her networks, often taking the most broken, vulnerable individuals and forging them into a strong, reliable informant while seeing to as many of their needs as possible by tapping into the resources of the Blue Ajah in new, cunning and creative ways.
Rymara is a bulwark against the Shadow and her Warders are the sharp blades of the Light, all of their efforts are dedicated to the common folk regardless of what they might have to suffer through to protect them. Nothing will stand between Rymara and justice, equality and dignity for all, not even the Towers…
Friends
From the day she joined the White Tower Rymara has, in many ways, been almost completely alone with a few notable exceptions who offered her comfort during her time as a Novice and during her short time as an Accepted. The few friends she has made through the years are precious to her and can rely on her to protect them, to help them and to act in a way which she believes will serve their best interests. So understandably, befriending Rymara can be a complicated process as she does not let her guard down often but for individuals of exceptional talents, kindness or honesty she makes exceptions. Instead most of her energy and time is dedicated to the vulnerable and in need, many of whom might consider her a friend for she offers them an open hand…
Allies
Alliances come and go often in Rymara’s line of work, for she always pushes to be at the forefront of the efforts to improve the lives of others and fighting the Shadow, each true ally she has made over the years is an individual with exceptional talents, a keen mind or a good heart and often they are all three. Rymara’s entire network of informants, spies and agents are considered to be her allies in that she often helps them improve their own lives, be it through wealth or other means, and in return they support her efforts. Her allies are the key to everything, they will be the ones she turns to first when she is in need and thus they are also likely to turn to Rymara who will protect them with all of her might, cunning and tenacity…
Enemies
Those that walk in the Shadows shall forever and always be the enemies of good and justice, no quarter shall be offered nor shall they be spared unless they repent. They repent and they attone, for anything short of this is simply deceit and they shall continue to serve in the darkest pools of Shadow at the Dark Ones' behest. It is they who shall break the world truly and smash the wheel and though in this life, and the next, people suffer to take the pattern away would be to take their lives. To throw them into festering corruption and offer them no chance of redemption, Rymara will never stand for it and she would rather burn the Shadow from the surface of the world than surrender to it or offer those who serve at the Dark One’s side mercy…
Lovers
Love and passion are in many ways one in the same for Rymara, but romance is a completely different beast. She has had many lovers through the years, both men and women (including a few Accepted who now wear the shawl), yet nobody has ever quite been enough for her. Nobody has been able to make her feel like part of a whole despite seeking for years and so she has stopped searching. Instead she now looks for those that can offer her respite from the darkness of the world and in doing so she may have discovered what she needs, that one lover is simply not enough because of her hunger for life and so over the years she has become more and more open to new relationship dynamics. Who knows, perhaps her Warders will give her what she needs… perhaps not…
