Historical Ties

The Seanchan War solidified the reputation of the Black Tower as a stable and reliable partner for the Westlands. Asha'man had provided unofficial training to the newly welcomed male channelers of both the Atha'an Miere and the Aiel, but with their aid in the Seanchan War Black Tower diplomats were able to establish a similar six month long exchange program between the three factions. Unfortunately, the Tower War shook those bonds to their foundations, and both the Steammasters and the Dragonblooded chose to end the program. Relations have improved recently, however, and talks of resuming this exchange have begun among all three.

The White Tower

The delicate negotiations pursued by both the White and Black Tower in an effort to normalize relations following the Tower War came to fruition during the Delegation at the White Tower. The Tower exchange program was one of the major initiatives agreed upon at the time, and it was an ambitious program. The Towers would sponsor a six month exchange of Accepted and Soldiers, along with Aes Sedai and Asha'man chaperones, designed to restore positive relations, encourage group study on projects of interest, and train young channelers to form circles with their counterparts. The assassination of M'hael al'Vyron has marred its inaugural class, though for now the program will continue to go ahead.
